The Milesheva Monastery, one of the greatest shrines that has played an invaluable role in the cultural, spiritual and national history of our people, is known to Serbs as the home of the famous White Angel fresco, but also the burial place of Saint Sava. It is located six kilometers from Prijepolje on the Mileševka River. The medieval monastery, the endowment of Serbian King Vladislav Nemanjic, was erected in the first half of the 13th century. The seat of the diocese of the Serbian Orthodox Church, on the walls of the eight centuries old, preserves some of the most valuable achievements of Serbian fresco painting.
We continue the tour to the beautiful waterfalls of Sopotnica.Sopotnica is located in the southwestern part of Serbia, not far from Prijepolje, on Jadovnik Mountain.
