Departure from Novi Sad at 9:30 am from the parking lot in front of the "Sajam" hotel.
Drive to Vrdnik, where our first stop is isolated from the urban and tucked away in the deep, untouched nature on the border with the National Park "Fruška Gora" Vrdnik Tower, which we reach by "health trail" in just 20 minutes of easy walking. The clean air, the scent of linden and pine forests that surround this historic site, and the view of beautiful nature will give you peace and relaxation for all the senses. It is believed that the Vrdnik Tower was built in Roman times, as one of the fortifications that served to protect Srem and the city of Sirmium.
After the visit, we will descend the same full downhill and after only a few kilometers drive we will reach one of the most important monasteries built during the 16th century, the Vrdnik Monastery. It housed the relics of Prince Lazar, a medieval Serbian prince who created the largest and most powerful state in the territory of the former Serbian Empire after the Battle of Marička. The lodgings of this monastery are among the most beautiful on Fruška gora. After the monastery, we go to the village of Jazak - hidden in the valley, tucked away in rich fertile arable land, deciduous and coniferous forests of the Fruska Gora National Park, plantations of various fruits and vineyards, famous history, known throughout the country for its famous mineral water.
Next we go to the authentic ethno restaurant on the slopes of Fruška gora, which is located near the monastery Mala Remeta and only a few meters from the hiking trails of the National Park Fruška gora. It is a pleasure to use the nice weather and stay in a phenomenal yard bathed in the sun, which is great and suitable for family gatherings, socializing and relaxation. Free time and lunch (apart from the standard menu, game specialties are also possible - stuffed venison leg, venison sausages and paprikash). At this estate, our youngest visitors can enjoy pony horse riding or carriage rides with the rest of the family.
For those who want to explore the surroundings, in the immediate vicinity (200 m from the restaurant), there is the monastery of Mala Remeta, which you can visit if you wish. The silence and greenery in which it is located and which it is surrounded by can evoke at least a part of the atmosphere that inspired its builder. According to tradition, it was founded by King Dragutin Nemanjić, who ruled Srem in the 13th century, and it is believed that the monastery was built just then.
For those who want to try and enjoy one of the best wineries on Fruška gora, they can visit the Deurić winery (15 minutes easy walk from the restaurant) and enjoy the tastes and aromas of top Fruška Gora wines. The linden reserve, clean air, springs, lakes and light land that surrounds the vineyards, are the basis for the production of quality wines produced by this winery.
For nature and walking lovers, there is a marked trail at your disposal if you want to walk through the picturesque landscape of the southern slopes of Fruška gora. In just a few minutes you can reach the famous resort and weekend resort of Siroke ledine and the rich Fruska Gora forest with numerous springs.
On this day, you can enjoy the magnificent green nature, you can always buy some home-made products, brandy, home-made juices, sweets, jams, especially from pomegranates, because it is abundant here, as well as, of course, excellent home-made cheese.
