We start from the agreed place, and at the agreed time from Uzice or the tourist center of Zlatibor. And the first destination is Stopica cave. This speleological object is arranged for visitors, and is unique in Serbia in many ways. This cave is characterized by a large entrance, about 50 meters high, so the first encounter with it is impressive. And then, as on a tape, her charms start to show. In one of the halls, we will come across the famous bathtubs that adorn the interior of the cave, and then you will be convinced that on this tour you will not see only one, but you will see two waterfalls.
After visiting the cave, we continue to explore the mountain Zlatibor, and the road takes us to Sirogojno. Sirogojno is a village with 2 museums. The first museum is a place where the visitor gets acquainted with the way of life of the local population from the end of the 19th century. Here you can see the old mountain type of houses that people built there, and which today are used for sightseeing and education.
The village of Sirogojno is known for its sweaters.Due to the strong winters in this area, people have always knitted sweaters to protect themselves from the cold. During the twentieth century, local women began mass production of wool products, and from that they made real small masterpieces with ethnic motifs from Zlatibor. All this can be seen in another museum that we will visit on this tour. And of course sweaters can also be bought.
The third point of the tour of Zlatibor is the village of Gostilje, and in the village there is the famous Gostilj waterfall. 25 meters high, it is among the 10 largest in Serbia. It captivates with its beauty, and it leaves a wonderful impression on everyone who comes here, as well as the desire to come here again.
When we finish our visit to Gostilje, we continue our journey through the village of Ljubiš. There it is possible to take a lunch break, because the village of Ljubis on Zlatibor is known for its great restaurants.
And then let's continue our way to the end point of our tour, and that is Zlatarsko Lake, named after the mountain on whose slopes it is located. The lake was created by building a dam on the river Uvac. At the dock we will be greeted by a kind captain of a boat on which we will sail on the lake. A ride on the lake means an hour and a half of enjoyment. The untouched nature of the slopes of the Zlatar mountain, the clear water make the complete atmosphere fantastic. After an hour and a half, we finish the boat ride, and full of impressions we return to Uzice or Zlatibor.
