From the point of departure, we head upstream along the Danube to the beginning of the great cauldron, the Iron Gate, where the first signal station "Vrbica" was located, which was demolished and where the Danube is the deepest in its entire course. Then we pass through the Iron Gate to the Romanian side to the plaque dedicated to the Hungarian engineer and Grof Szechenyi. After that, we continue to Ponikova Cave, which can be entered by boat as far as the Danube allows, which is the largest natural reserve of bats in Europe. Then we pass by the Veterani cave, which is of great historical importance for Romania and dates back to the Dacian and Roman times. We pass through the place where the Danube is the narrowest in its entire course and exiting the big cauldron, we pass by the egg sculpture and another signal station "Pena" and give an explanation about its origin and meaning. We continue to the third signal station "Varnica" and describe how the signal stations work. We pass through the entrance to the small cauldron and continue to the Orthodox monastery "Mrakonja", which is located on the very bank of the Danube. Right next to the monastery is the largest carved statue in the world of the last Dacian king, Decebalus. Leaving the small cauldron, we visit the original and authentic Trajan's tablet, the only one preserved of the 11 Roman tablets that existed.
