Čenej is a suburban settlement of the city of Novi Sad, Serbia. It is located in the north-eastern part of the Novi Sad municipality. Two small neighboring settlements are known as Pejićevi Salaši and Nemanovci are also officially regarded as parts of Čenej. Čenej is well known in the region for its ethno tourism. There is a number of ethno farms called salaši, where visitors can relax and enjoy local food in an authentic ambiance. The most significant feature of Čenej is certainly the oldest tree of dudes in Serbia. This tree is located in the Kuzmanovic farm and it has between 180 and 200 years. As the oldest tree of dudes in Serbia, it is protected as a cultural property. Dud is important for another symbol of Čenej, and that is the brandy of Dudovaca.
