Prolom Banja is a settlement in Serbia in the municipality of Kuršumlija in the Toplic district, known for its healing springs. After the First World War, more serious use of hot springs began. Prolom Banja and the properties of the healing waters were mentioned in the newspaper in 1940, when the number of about 2,000 visitors per year was stated. Since 1956, the number of guests has increased significantly, and since 1961, "Planinka" from Kuršumlija has taken over the organization of receiving and treating guests. Hotel "Radan" was built in 1968 and had 28 beds. As early as 1976, an annex with 128 more beds was added. In 1982, the hotel was expanded and built on, and at that time geoexploratory drilling yielded about 11 liters of healing water per second. In 1989, a second annex with 270 beds, a therapy block and a part with a swimming pool was built. Now the hotel is equipped with modern equipment, diagnostics, treatment, therapy and recreation. In addition to a hotel with a restaurant in the spa, there are a number of houses with private accommodation for guests, several grocery stores and several restaurants.
