Senjski Rudnik is a settlement in the Pomeranian district, 20 kilometers from Despotovac and Ćuprija. In Senjski Rudnik there is a mine of the same name, the oldest active brown coal mine and the oldest mining settlement in Serbia. Within the mine there is also a coal mining museum building with exhibits. In Senjski Rudnik, a steam engine for transporting miners to the pit, built in 1872 in Graz in the Austro-Hungarian factory "Jožef Kereši", is still working. It was first installed in the Vrdnik Mine on Fruška Gora in 1876, where it worked until 1922, when it was transferred to the Senjski Mine.
