Sopotnica waterfalls are hot springs and springs that first form common streams, and then disperse and branch through a large number of waterfalls. The Sopotnica River is a tributary of the Lim. The Sopotnik waterfalls are located on the western slopes of the Jadovnik mountain, in the village of Sopotnik. The highest waterfall has a height of 25 meters. You can hear different legends about the origin of the falls from local residents. One of them says that the settlers on Jadovnik, from the waterless Pešteri, were disappointed because the spring near which they settled dried up. They decided to continue their search for water. The night before the migration, a deep voice appeared to them and asked them: - Choose people, what should I give you: water or happiness? The villagers shouted at the top of their voices: - Give us water, give us water, and we will create our own happiness, God willing! And so, according to the legend, the water flowed in all directions.
