Itinerary:
Our adventure begins at the stunning Perućac Lake, where we board a cozy cruiser and set sail on its vivid waters. The lake is a popular spot for swimming and its vibrant colors make it the perfect place to start our journey. Sit back and relax as we cruise into the heart of nature!
As we continue, we sail through the awe-inspiring Drina Canyon, the third deepest river canyon in the world. With cliffs that rise over 1,000 meters high and narrow passages as tight as 30-40 meters, the sheer magnitude of this natural wonder will leave you in awe. You'll feel as though you can reach out and touch the towering cliffs!
After about 3.5 hours of cruising, we arrive in Višegrad, a town known for its historic 16th-century stone bridge, immortalized by Serbian Nobel Prize-winning writer Ivo Andrić in his novel The Bridge on the Drina. This stop allows us to step back in time and soak in the rich history of the area.
Next, we board a charming old train for a ride to Mokra Gora, traveling along a narrow-gauge railway built at the beginning of the 20th century. This train ride offers a nostalgic journey through time, taking you on scenic paths through the picturesque landscapes of Western Serbia.
Finally, we reach Tara Mountain, where we continue our journey by bus through the dense forests of Tara National Park. As we ascend above 1,000 meters, we’ll enjoy breathtaking views of this protected area, rich in natural beauty and wildlife. The tour concludes back in Perućac, leaving you with lasting memories of this spectacular journey.
