Rest assured that there are no additional charges for any flight delays. After 1 hour of driving you will arrive at Novi Sad, one of the most beautiful cities in Serbia, and the second largest city in Vojvodina. Before departure, we recommend visiting Petrovaradin Fortress near the city center. You will catch beautiful panoramic views of the city and the Danube River from the fortress walls. In the evening enjoy downtown. Overnight in 4* hotel in the city center.
2 Day (Monday) – Sremski Karlovci – Fruska gora
Breakfast in the hotel. Spend the whole day in Fruška Gora and the beautiful town of Sremski Karlovci. After a short drive, you will arrive at Iriški Venac. The first stop will be at the "Freedom" monument, erected in honor of the fallen fighters and symbolizing the struggle against fascism in World War II. Next to the complex is a park with conifers and numerous paths where you can take a walk and fully connect with the fantastic nature. After the walk, you can take a break at the "Na Vencu" restaurant, surrounded by trees and greenery where, as they say, you will rest both your body and soul. The restaurant is located right next to the "Freedom" monument. After a short break, visit one of the 17 monasteries in the national park - the Novo Hopovo monastery. The architecture of the monastery, the exceptional iconostasis, and the beautiful nature will certainly leave a strong impression on you. Visit the Krušedol monastery, one of the oldest Fruška Gora monasteries dating back to the 15th century. The values preserved in the monastery are numerous, and the monastery is also considered one of the most significant Serbian monasteries. Once again, a short drive and you will come to Sremski Karlovci, located on the right bank of the Danube River, a place that has marked the cultural, spiritual, and political history of the Serbs. You will visit one of the wineries in Sremski Karlovci. We recommend the Kish winery with wine tasting. Return to Novi Sad. Overnight stay at a hotel.
3 Day (Tuesday) – Sombor
After breakfast and checking out of the hotel, we will embark on a 2-hour drive to Sombor, the green pearl of Vojvodina. Known as the greenest city in Serbia, Sombor has been home to important historical figures and is now the hometown of the famous NBA basketball player Nikola Jokic. We recommend starting your tour with a visit to the City Museum and the Milan Konjović Gallery. Continue your walk through the old town, the main street, and the "venci" to experience the beautiful architecture of this city. Afterward, in the Park of Heroes, visit the County Building, which houses the largest oil painting in this part of the Balkans - the painting "The Battle of Senta" by master Ferenc Eisenhut. You will be fascinated not only by its beauty but also by the story behind this impressive work.
Since it will be lunchtime, we recommend choosing one of the restaurants in the city center, or a traditional tavern or farmhouse, to enjoy the rich gastronomy of Sombor. We also suggest a carriage ride, as Sombor is the only city in Serbia that still has a city carriage service. In this city, you can also take a boat trip and hear an interesting story. After Sombor, head to Bački Monoštor - a village on seven rivers or the European Amazon. This picturesque settlement, with an eight-century history, still lives in close connection with the natural environment - the forests and waters of the Gornje Podunavlje Special Nature Reserve, which is also part of the cross-border UNESCO Biosphere Reserve "Mura-Drava-Danube". This vast area is a diverse mosaic of forests, rivers, marshes, canals, and rich wildlife. In Monoštor, you will be welcomed by friendly hosts who are ready to introduce you to their village as authentically as possible. Stay in one of the local apartments or rural tourist households.
4 Day (Wednesday) – Subotica
After breakfast, we will embark on a journey north to Subotica, a city with unique architecture. Often referred to as the "Pannonian Barcelona" due to its Art Nouveau style, similar to that used by Gaudi in Barcelona, Subotica offers a truly unique experience. We will explore the city's major landmarks, including City Hall, the National Theatre, the Blue Fountain, the Cathedral of Saint Teresa of Avila, the Square of the Victims of Fascism, and the Synagogue. Free time will be provided for individual activities and enjoying this wonderful city. Just a 30-minute drive from the city center lies the famous Lake Palic, a natural gem of northern Serbia. At the end of the day, we will visit the beautiful Majkin Salaš, a traditional farmstead located nearby. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the farmstead.
5 Day (Thursday) – Belgrade
After breakfast, we will depart for the capital city of Belgrade. Before checking into the hotel, we suggest visiting Avala Mountain, located a 30-minute drive from the hotel. Avala is a low mountain and a protected natural area in the heart of nature. We recommend taking the opportunity to visit the Avala Tower, the tallest structure of its kind in the Balkans. At a height of 205 meters, and with a beautiful panorama, we suggest taking a short break at the restaurant. Take a walk through the forested Avala and visit the monument to the Unknown Hero and the monument to Soviet war veterans. In the immediate vicinity, there are numerous restaurants, and we recommend lunch at the Konoba pod Avalom restaurant where you can try traditional Serbian cuisine.
Upon arrival at the hotel, you will check in. We suggest you spend the rest of the day at Ada Ciganlija, where you can enjoy a variety of activities. Ada is a popular river island and recreational area with beaches, sports facilities, and scenic walking and biking paths, offering everything from swimming, kayaking, and paddleboarding to beach volleyball, mini-golf, and adrenaline park adventures. There are also numerous cafes where you can enjoy the summer atmosphere. Overnight stay.
