This unique tour will take you to the most beautiful parts of Serbia, Bosnia and Croatia. After exploring the rich history and breathtaking nature of these three countries, enjoying local cuisines, and feeling a distinctive receptiveness of the locals, this tour will surely stay in your memory for a long time.

Tour description:

Day 1. Airport Belgrade – Novi Sad (D)

Arrival to Airport Belgrade, meeting with tour guide and direct transfer to Novi Sad. Arrival and check-in at the hotel. Welcome drink at the hotel and a short rest. We will visit the most important sights of the city of Novi Sad, called „Serbian Athens“: Cathedral, Zmaj Jovina Street, main pedestrian zone, Dunavski park, Orthodox church... Dinner in a fantastic traditional restaurant with delicious vojvodinian specialties. Overnight.

Day 2. Novi Sad - Fruška Gora (Sremski Karlovci, Krusedol Monastery) – Belgrade (B, D)

Breakfast at the hotel in Novi Sad. Visit and sightseeing of the Petrovaradin Fortress, one of the most impressive fortresses along the Danube. Departure to Sremski Karlovci, small baroque town on the Danube shore. Walking sightseeing tour of the city and wine tasting of local wines and honey in the most famous family-run wine cellar. This region is very well known by its wine front the Fruska gora slopes. Continue to Fruska gora,„Serbian Athos“, a place where 16 Orthodox monasteries are located. We will visit monastery Krušedol, the most important monastery in the north of our country. Arrival in a nice restaurant (traditional Salas) where you will have opportunity to enjoy Serbian specialties in traditional old-fashion atmosphere. We continue toward Serbian capital – Belgrade. Arrival and overnight at the hotel.

Day 3. Belgrade (B, D)

After breakfast, follow a walking and panoramic tour of Belgrade - walking down Knez Mihailova Street, a main pedestrian area of downtown and get to the main Republic Square. Continue to walk to Kalemegdan fortress from the Ancient period. Enjoy in great view of the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers, a big Military Island... By bus we will do panoramic sightseeing through Terazije street, Slavija Square, City Hall, National Parliament, to get to the biggest Orthodox church in the Balkans – Saint Sava Temple. This day will be finished with dinner in the most famous part of Belgrade – Skadarlija, famous for its old-fashioned charm and fantastic atmosphere.

Day 4. Belgrade - Smederevo Fortress – Viminacium - Silver Lake (B, L)

After breakfast at the hotel, visit the House of Flowers. We depart to Smederevo whose huge fortress has been the last medieval capital of Serbia. Nowadays the fortress is one of the largest on the Danube and among the most important in Serbia. We head for Kostolac where we will visit the archeological site of Viminacium, once an important Roman town, the capital of the province of Upper Moesia. Apart from the ruins and ancient tombs, we will also see the skeletons of many mammoths found during the excavation. Break for lunch in a nice restaurant. Our journey continues to Srebrno Jezero (Silver Lake) where we will have free time for enjoyment in the swimming (if time allows). Overnight at the hotel at the lake.

Day 5. Silver Lake - Lepenski Vir - Lunch Kapetan Misin Breg - Cruising the Iron Gate – Kladovo (B, L)

Breakfast at the hotel. Stop by Golubacka Fortress. As you know, the Golubačka Fortress has recently been completely restored and is considered one of the most beautiful and preserved fortresses in Europe! We head to the Lepenski Vir, the oldest archeological site in Europe if not in the World! This locality was the seat of one of the most important Neolithic cultures who lived in the area 9.500 years ago! This settlement is older than the Pyramids of Giza (2. 560 BC) or any other known ancient city (Jerusalem, Beirut, Damascus, and Aleppo in Syria, Biblos in Lebanon). Upon arrival in Donji Milanovac, you’ll have lunch at a beautiful restaurant called the Captain Mišin Hill, where you’ll be able to taste famous Vlach delicacies. On this, according to most tourists the most beautiful vantage point, you’ll enjoy the spectacular view of the Danube River and the cozy atmosphere of this amazing space. Follows a one-hour bus ride to Tekije. There we’ll embark on a boat and begin an hour and a half long cruise to Djerdap Gorge, the deepest gorge in Europe and the largest National park in Serbia! We’ll sail through Mali and Veliki Kazan (between which the water is incredible 90 meters deep!). You’ll see ancient signal stations, Hajduk Watermill, King Decebal's head on the Romanian side, as well as the famous Trajan's Plaque on the Serbian side which can’t be seen other way than from the water. Arrival in Kladovo, overnight at the hotel on the Danube shore.

Day 6. Kladovo - Zajecar and Felix Romuliana - Lazarica Church in Kruševac - Vrnjacka Spa (B, D) 

Breakfast at the hotel in Kladovo. The way toward Zaječar – visit of National Museum which will be fulfilled by visit of Felix Romuliana, an imperial Palace built on the orders of Galerius Maximianus at the spacious plateau of Gamzigrad. Visit the church Lazarica in Krusevac, an endowment of Prince Lazar. Way to Vrnjacka Spa, the most famous resort in Serbia. Dinner and overnight at a great hotel.

Day 7. Vrnjacka Spa - Žiča Monastery- Sirogojno Ethno Village - Zlatibor Mountain (B, L)

After breakfast at the hotel, the tour continues to Western Serbia, very interesting and picturesque part of Serbia. We will make a stop in Žiča Monastery, the first seat of the Serbian Archbishopric and the most beautiful monastery in Serbia. Arrival and lunch in Ethno village in Sirogojno, an Open-Air Museum where you will enjoy in domestic food served in special traditional dishes. Overnight at Zlatibor Mounation, one of the most beautiful and famous places in Serbia.

Day 8. Zlatibor Mountain - Mokra Gora - Visegrad - Sarajevo (B, L)

Breakfast at the hotel. Way toward Mokra Gora, visit to ethno village Mecavnik, which was created by weil- known film director, Emir Kusturica. An enjoyable journey by train going thought beautiful countryside not far away from Zlatibor and Tara. The train is called “Sargan eight“or “Figure of Eight of Sargan“ which is narrow railroad shaped as number eight. The large elevation change in so short distance will leave your breathless. Lunch at famous restaurant that offers traditional homemade specialties. Stop on the Bridge on the Drina, a heritage of the Grand Vizier Mehmed Pasha Sokolovic. Arrival in Bosnian capital, Sarajevo, and free time. Overnight at the hotel in Sarajevo.

Day 9. Sarajevo (B, D) 

Breakfast at the hotel. Walking tour of the main sights of Sarajevo. We will see the City Hall and National Library, Spite House, Streets Bravadziluk and Kazandziluk which keep old handcraft stores and shops. Continue to Sebilj, a pseudo-Ottoman-style wooden fountain (sebil) in the center of Bascarsija square, to Ghazi Husrev Bey’s Mosque and Maddresah, Sarajevo’s Cathedral, Jewish Museum, Clock tower, and Ghazi Husrev Bey’s Bazaar. After our free time we will enjoy in traditional Bosnian dinner.

 

Day 10: Sarajevo - Konjic- Jablanica - Mostar (B, D) 

After breakfast at the hotel, we depart toward Konjic, one of the gems of Bosnia and Herzegovina, rightfully for the amazing nature that entirely surrounds it. The Neretva River flows through the center of Konjic. Visit Tito bunker. Head to Jablanica, where is a Museum „ The Battle for Wounded of Neretva“ which we will visit. Arrival in Mostar. We will take a sightseeing tour of this wonderful city and visit the Old Town and Old Bridge on the Neretva River. Dinner in a nice restaurant in Mostar. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 11: Mostar - Villages Blagaj and Pocitelj - Waterfalls Kravice - Trebinje (B, D)

Departure to Blagaj, a village-town in the southeastern region of the Mostar basin. It stands at the edge of Bisce plain and is one of the most valuable mixed urban and rural structures in Bosnia and Herzegovina, distinguished from other similar structures in its urban layout. Blagaj is situated at the spring of the Buna river and a historical tekke (tekija or Dervish monastery). We drive to Pocitelj, for a half an hour's visit of this small village, built in a natural karst amphitheater along the Neretva river. The walled town of Pocitelj evolved in the period from the 16th to the 18th centuries. Continue to Kravice Waterfall, a beautiful and large tufa cascade on the Trebizat River, in the karstic heartland of Herzegovina in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Way to Trebinje. Walking tour. Trebinje is well known for its wines, so we take you to one of the most famous (Vinarija Vukoje). We will finish this interesting day in a local restaurant where you will enjoy in fish specialties.

Day 12: Trebinje – Dubrovnik (B)

Early breakfast at the hotel in Trebinje. Departure to Dubrovnik. Sightseeing of the city: We will see Franciscan monastery, Old Pharmacy, Fortress… Free time for individual activities until flight.
