Tour description:
Departure from Belgrade at 7h, and from Novi Sad at 08:30h in front of the parking of Hotel Sajam.
Drive to Bač, where we will visit the best-preserved medieval fortress, whose first traces date from the time of Emperor Justinian I. Founded by king Charles Robert I, the fortress was the most important Hungarian rampart against the invading Ottoman forces and today is the best-preserved medieval fort in Vojvodina.
Continue our journey to Sombor, a city of rich cultural heritage and old tradition. Upon arrival, a walk through the charming center of the city and visit the most important sights such as the Church of the Holy Trinity and Milan Konjović's gallery, a prominent Serbian painter.
We will visit the County Hall, today's seat of the administration of the City and the West-Backa District, which was built in 1808 with a famous sunny hour. It has 200 rooms, chambers and halls and we will visit some of them.
Take a break at famous farm Andrić. Free time for lunch after which the road leads us to Bački Monoštor, a village surrounded by mysterious Danubian backwaters, canals and forests, preserved traditions, old crafts and beautiful costumes, ethno houses and delicious specialties is followed. Visit the Ethno house-Info Center, where we will see the museum exhibits and presentations of folk costumes, production of old crafts products in the yard of the Info Center or in the house of the craftsman.
Return to Novi Sad and Belgrade in the evening.
