The river Uvac lies between the northern slopes of the Zlatar and the southern branches of Zlatibor. The special value of the canyon parts of the valley are the meanders that are located in the inventory of geomorphologic objects of the geographic region of Serbia. The uniqueness of this area is the presence and nesting of a very rare and small species of leafhoppers - ghee-soup. In order to protect this type of area around the gorge of the river Uvac as a place of griffon soup, it was proclaimed a special nature reserve.
