Tour description:
The tour departs in the morning from your accommodation address at the Kopaonik ski resort. You will enjoy beautiful landscapes of south-western slopes of Kopaonik mountain followed by stories and explanations taken from local tourist guide. Passing through the Josanicka Spa and The Valley of the Kings, the first attraction and highlight of the tour will be the monastery of Studenica (UNESCO World Heritage List), hour and a half of drive from Kopaonik. Possible coffee or photo stops on the way. Enough time for sightseeing of the monastery complex including the Church of the Virgin and Kings church, to explore beautiful frescoes, to see the tombs of Serbian medieval kings and to understand why Studenica is so important for Serbian people and country itself. There is a rich souvenir shop to check also. Transfer from Studenica to the restaurant with a short foto stop at the Stara Pavlica church. Lunch break is planned at scenic local restaurant with traditional Serbian cuisine to be offered on the way back from Studenica.
Afternoon is reserved for at visit of a small food factory offering wild fruit products prepared in a traditional manner according to the original recepies from Kopaonik region. Possible to buy products. At the end of the tour, we will visit Kursulica House in Raska downtown, a museum and place where Serbian government had sessions during WW1. Raska with it`s name and spirit keeps the memory of the first independent medieval Serbian state. After visit of Raska, there is 45 min transfer back to your accommodation address. End of a tour.
