Tour description:
Departure from Novi Sad at 09 am from your hotel or a location by agreement.
After a short drive, we'll arrive at Iriski Venac. Our first stop will be at the monument "Sloboda" erected in honor of fallen fighters, symbolizing the fight against fascism in World War II. Next to the complex, there's a park with conifers and numerous paths for you to take a stroll and fully immerse yourself in the fantastic nature of Fruška Gora.
Following the walk, there'll be a rest and break at the restaurant "Na Vencu," surrounded by trees and greenery, where you can (as they say) rest both body and soul. The restaurant is located right by the "Sloboda" monument. After a brief rest, we continue our trip and head to the Novo Hopovo Women's Monastery. Here lie the relics of the Christian saint, Theodore Tyron, from the fourth century, and the monastery is notably where Dositej Obradović - a Serbian enlightener and reformer - became a monk. The monastery's architecture, exceptional iconostasis, and beautiful nature are sure to leave a strong impression on you.
Next, we'll visit Mačkov Podrum Winery, where our gracious hosts will guide us through the winery, share their stories, and assure us of the wine's quality. Alongside a tasting, you'll also evaluate the quality yourself, accompanied by a spread of local products (Srem sausage, bacon, hard cheese).
We'll continue with a short drive to the Krušedol Restaurant, offering a fantastic view of the Krušedol Monastery. There will be a lunch break and free time to explore the Krušedol Monastery.
We'll then embark on a short drive to Sremski Karlovci, located on the right bank of the Danube, a place that has marked the cultural, spiritual, and political history of Serbs. We'll tour the city center and its major landmarks (the Four Lions Fountain, the gymnasium, the Patriarchate's court, and the Theological Seminary).
After the city tour, free time or optionally, a cruise on a catamaran for a minimum of 6 people, lasting 1 hour, where you can enjoy the water, the riverbank, and another beautiful experience.
